The Department of Civil Engineering from the University of Coimbra will host the tenth Iberian Congress on Water Management and Planning from 06 to 08 September, under the theme: “20 years of continuity on a new water culture: water flows, life flows “. The Congress brings together a wide range of stakeholders in the area of water management and planning and is structured in four thematic areas:
TA1 – Planning, governance, and water: progress, limits and challenges in implementing the Water Framework Directive;
TA2 – Associated aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems (riparian and coastal): conservation and restoration;
TA3 – Climate change, extreme hydrological phenomena and water uses;
TA4 – Water and society: ethics, rights, culture and education.
