14th March 2019 – The Galician school of Public Administration held, in Santiago de Compostela, the first debate forum organized in Galicia by the Ecological Transition Ministry, with the objective to elaborate the Green book for the water governance in Spain.
The entity Galicia Waters and the Galicia Technological Institute, partners in the Aquamundam project, have participated in this initiative with the objective to build a water governance model, having in mind the impact that the climate change will have in the sector.
The “Green book for the water government in Spain” is expected to be a reference document that collects the challenges that the water water management will face and to initiate a hydrological transition process. Once finished the first version of the document, based on the General State Water Administration proposals and themes, the Green Book will be open to the autonomous communities for social debate.
This way, the final version will include additional ideas and proposals from all the entities and specialists in the water cycle, that participate in this debate to face the necessity to adapt to the climate change and the hydrological transition in Spain.
