Knowledge of the infrastructure as a key factor to improve water cycle management

Interview with Martín Godón, Councilor for Urban Planning, Works and Environment of the Municipality of Noia

One of the pilots implemented in the context of the Aquamundam project took place in Galician territory, in the Municipality of Noia. In the context of this pilot, several actions were implemented to improve the water management, including: the diagnosis of the water cycle in that region; the carrying out of an inventory of the municipality’s sanitation and supply networks; the digitization of some processes, allowing permanent monitoring of water consumption, the quick identification of potential malfunctions and, consequently, a faster response.

We interviewed Martin Godón, Councilor for Urban Planning, Works and the Environment in that municipality, who told us all about the impact the pilot had on that municipality.
